The cybersecurity company Yubico’s stock is climbing sharply on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, supported by a rally in the sector on Wall Street on Friday, Dagens industri reports.
At 12:30 p.m., Yubico’s stock was up 15.6 percent at SEK 145.70 last paid. The stock has performed strongly, rising 258 percent over the past six months.
In the US, Crowdstrike rose 8.3 percent on Friday, Palo Alto Networks increased 7.2 percent and Sentinelone advanced 6.7 percent. The sector ETF First Trust Nasdaq Cybersecurity rose 3.2 percent.
The rally came in the wake of last week’s discovery of security vulnerabilities in the PHP programming language, which prompted several countries to shut down their government agencies’ websites, as previously reported.
