Verisure invests in AI partnerships to meet competition, CEO says – BN (update)

(addition to penultimate paragraph)

Alarm company Verisure is increasing investments in artificial intelligence and external technology partnerships to strengthen its competitiveness. CEO Austin Lally said this in an interview with Bloomberg News.

The company uses data from 6.4 million subscribers to train AI models that better distinguish real threats from false alarms. An in-house machine-learning model analyzed nearly 4 million alarms during the first quarter and reduced response times by 15 percent in Spain, France and Italy.

“We have more high-quality training data than anyone else in the industry,” Lally said in the interview.

Verisure has also licensed technology from Origin AI through a five-year agreement and signed an exclusive European agreement with Ting Labs. Ting’s sensors for detecting electrical faults are to be launched in Europe from 2027.

The new partnership is part of Verisure’s ongoing investments in innovation and technology. In 2025, Verisure invested approximately 170 million euros in technology and innovation, with the aim of developing new groundbreaking security products and services, increasing sales volume, maintaining its position in the premium segment, encouraging customers to increase their usage and ultimately contributing to margin growth by reducing the cost per customer served. The company said this in a press release.

Verisure shares traded on Friday around 40 percent below the listing price of 13.25 euros.
