Uneven trading on Wall Street after bank reports

Wall Street is trading unevenly in early Tuesday trading.

Sentiment surrounding AI remains somewhat fragile following comments from Broadcom and Intel yesterday about limited capital. The increased competitive threat from Chinese CXMT also played a role.

Investment bank Goldman Sachs was clearly above expectations in terms of revenue and earnings per share. The stock is rising 1.7 percent.

Wells Fargo’s earnings were in line with expectations. Wells Fargo expects net interest income to come in at around USD 13 billion in the fourth quarter. Full-year forecasts were reiterated. The stock is falling 2.1 percent.
