US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are to meet two more times before the end of the year. Trump confirmed the plans after Xi’s three-day state visit to Washington.
The next meeting is to be held in China in November in connection with the APEC summit. The leaders are then expected to meet at the G20 meeting in Miami in December. The countries have also agreed to support each other’s hosting of the two summits.
During the meetings in Washington, artificial intelligence, Iran and trade were among the topics discussed. Trump said afterward that the talks had been productive and hinted at progress that could benefit American farmers, without providing further details.
