The lobster fishing season has started for the year, with fishing commencing yesterday.
At the fish auction in Gothenburg this morning, the year’s first lobster sold for SEK 53,000 per kilo, Sveriges Radio reports. The price represents an increase of SEK 2,000 per kilo compared with the previous year. The money will be donated to prostate cancer research.
The record high was in 2012, when the price was SEK 102,000.
