Tata Motors lifted passenger vehicle sales by 40 percent in Q2

The Indian automotive giant Tata Motors increased its passenger vehicle sales by 40 percent during the second quarter of fiscal year 2027 to 201,723 vehicles.

The figure is the company’s highest quarterly sales to date. Growth was driven primarily by record sales of electric vehicles and CNG vehicles, meaning cars powered by compressed natural gas.

The development strengthens Tata Motors’ position in alternative powertrains in the Indian market.

Tata Motors owns, among others, Jaguar Land Rover.
