Swiss train manufacturer Stadler Rail appoints Philipp Brunner as new group CEO effective 1 January 2027. He succeeds Markus Bernsteiner, who has led the group since 2023 and is now leaving operational management to focus on board assignments.
Brunner, 42, has worked at Stadler for more than 16 years and currently leads the Central Europe and Germany divisions. He has been a member of group management since 2021.
Stadler also reiterates that revenue in 2026 is expected to exceed 5 billion Swiss francs for the first time, with an EBIT margin above 5 percent. In the first half of the year, revenue increased by 40 percent to 2.0 billion Swiss francs.
