The space and AI company Spacex has entered into a binding commitment for a lease agreement with Apollo covering graphics processing units and other data center equipment. Total payments are estimated at approximately $40 billion, Bloomberg News reports.
Apollo will purchase the equipment and lease it to Spacex.
Deliveries will take place in stages, with lease periods of approximately five to 5.25 years each, starting in the first half of 2027.
The deal is expected to be completed before year-end, subject to certain conditions being met.
