US media group Paramount Skydance has reached a settlement with California and other states that have sought to block the planned acquisition of Warner Bros. Bloomberg Law reports, citing sources.
The settlement is expected to be made public later on Monday and paves the way for the deal.
Among other things, it includes independent editorial boards for CBS and CNN, as well as a possible penalty of USD 30 million for each film by which Paramount falls short of a commitment to distribute 30 films per year in theaters.
