Solidium to pour EUR 900 million into government investment programme

Finland’s state investment company Solidium will contribute a total of approximately EUR 900 million, equivalent to SEK 10.2 billion, to the financing of the Finnish government’s investment programme. This is stated in a press release.

Part of the financing will come from funds Solidium received from the sale of shares in insurance giant Sampo.

On 23 September, Solidium sold approximately EUR 630 million worth of Sampo shares. Around EUR 500 million of this will be used to finance the investment programme, including taxes arising from the transfer and sale.

Following the share sale and the planned transfer, Solidium will own approximately 2 percent of all A shares in Sampo.
