The ski resort company Skistar has found a successful model for its summer operations after five years of work.
“We have cracked the code,” CEO Stefan Sjöstrand tells EFN after the company released its Q4 report in the morning.
At the same time, Skistar is entering the important winter season with a record-strong booking position. Bookings are 3 percent higher than at the same time last year. According to Sjöstrand, the currency trend, with a weaker krona, has not played a role.
“We usually say that the strength of the krona is important, but fairly marginally important in our operations. We see that international guests come because it offers good value, and we guarantee the snow that people have problems with in Europe. It is an especially valuable ingredient when you want to go on a skiing holiday,” he says.
The company is also holding discussions about property transactions, but Sjöstrand says that Skistar does not need to sell if the right price is not offered.
The share is up 6.1 percent on the report.
