Construction company Skanska’s US subsidiary Skanska USA Civil Northeast has been awarded a contract worth USD 271.2 million for the construction of a quay for the US Coast Guard’s patrol vessels. This is stated in information on the US Department of Defense’s website.
The work will be carried out at Naval Station Newport in Rhode Island and is expected to be completed in March 2030.
The contract’s maximum value, including the base assignment and four options, amounts to USD 271.2 million. The full amount is funded at the time of award.
Three bids were submitted in the procurement process.
