Qatari mediators have presented a new draft agreement for Iran aimed at ending the war with the United States and Israel. Iran is considering the proposal and is expected to respond before the end of the week, Reuters reports, citing an official with insight into the negotiations.
The proposal includes a seven-day plan under which both sides will take daily confidence-building measures. The plan could begin at the start of next week, and several countries are expected to act as guarantors of the agreement.
Ahead of the meeting in Tehran on Sunday, there were concerns that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would resume attacks on Iran during the week.
