Kongsberg Gruppen and Polish WB Group are negotiating a potentially significant contract for unmanned surface vessels, USVs, for Poland and Norway, according to Defence24. Pareto Securities believes that an agreement could be reached relatively soon.
No order value or number of units has been disclosed, and no award has yet been confirmed. Pareto nevertheless sees potential for significant Kongsberg content, including remote-controlled weapon stations, command-and-control systems, sensors and weapons systems.
Pareto views the information as positive and believes that the deal could create a new revenue stream within naval defence. The bank has a Buy recommendation with a target price of 554 Norwegian kronor.
