OPEC+ is expected to leave its production targets for December unchanged at Sunday’s meeting. Reuters reports, citing three people familiar with the matter.
According to the sources, further changes to production policy are unlikely before next year. However, no final decision has yet been made.
In September, OPEC+ completed the phase-out of previous production cuts of 1.65 million barrels per day. The group still has additional cuts of around 2 million barrels per day in place through the end of 2026.
Ahead of 2027, OPEC+ will also complete a review of member countries’ production capacity, which will form the basis for future quotas, the news agency writes.
