Activist fund Oasis Management has increased its stake in Vail Resorts to 7.4 percent from 6.2 percent by purchasing an additional 424,000 shares.
The fund wants to drive strategic changes and gain board representation and may propose a sale of the entire company or parts of the resort portfolio.
Oasis has nominated four people to the board, including former Disney CEO Robert Chapek and former Olympic skier Picabo Street.
