Finn Ivar Marum is stepping down as CEO of Nordic Mining with immediate effect from September 30. The board has appointed Otto Søberg as acting CEO. This is stated in a press release.
Søberg will take up the position on October 7. Until then, Chairman of the Board Kjell Roland will be responsible for executive management. Søberg has previously been CEO of, among others, Kværner Energy, Kværner Oil & Gas, Aker Yards and Export Credit Norway.
Marum is leaving for a senior position outside the mining sector. He will remain as an adviser to the board and CEO for the rest of the year, with a particular focus on permitting and regulatory matters.
