Kosta glassworks is issuing redundancy notices affecting 55 jobs, according to information provided to Smålandsposten.
The cuts affect glassworkers in the hot shop and grinding department, as well as salaried employees.
The glassworks is owned by Orrefors Kosta Boda, which in turn is owned by New Wave Group.
Profitability has been a challenge, and parts of production have previously been moved abroad.
Orrefors Kosta Boda has not yet commented on the redundancy notices.
