Food delivery company Instacart has reached a $5 million settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, EEOC.
The company is accused of discriminating against U.S. workers during recruitment by favoring people with temporary work visas.
The authorities say that the recruitment practices within the PERM labor certification process violated laws prohibiting discrimination based on citizenship and national origin.
