Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund Danantara, which manages assets of around USD 1 trillion, is sticking to its investment strategy despite the recent stock market turbulence. The Wall Street Journal reports this.
The statement comes after index provider MSCI warned that it could downgrade Indonesia’s stock market from emerging market to standalone market, triggering fresh stock market declines.
The fund says that confidence in Indonesia is based on the country’s economic fundamentals and the strength of its companies.
