British pharmaceutical company Glaxosmithkline, GSK, has selected a drug candidate from its collaboration with Wave Life Sciences for further development in a liver indication. The candidate is based on Wave’s GalNAc-siRNA technology and will now move into GSK’s development pipeline, according to a press release.
The selection triggers a $12 million milestone payment to Wave. For each program under the collaboration, Wave may additionally receive up to $330-375 million in development, launch and commercial milestone payments, as well as tiered royalties on net sales.
Another three programs under the collaboration are moving toward the potential selection of drug candidates.
