Geely enters global partnership with Google on digital services in cars

Chinese automotive group Geely Holding has entered into a strategic partnership with Google to integrate the company’s digital services into cars in international markets. The first models with the new features are expected to be launched in the second half of 2027, according to a press release.

The partnership includes, among other things, the Gemini AI assistant, Google Maps and Google Play. The services will be integrated directly into the cars’ infotainment systems and offered in models from, among others, Geely, Lynk & Co, Proton, Riddara and Smart.

The launch covers markets outside China and the United States where Google’s services are available. Geely has previously cooperated with Google through, among others, Polestar, whose Polestar 2 model has had built-in Google services since 2020.
