The research company Bioarctic announces that the first patient in Sweden has begun treatment with the Alzheimer’s drug Leqembi at the private Executive Health in Stockholm.
This is the first treatment outside clinical trials in Sweden since EU approval in April 2025. In April 2026, the NT Council advised the regions against using the drug.
Leqembi is approved for certain patients with early Alzheimer’s disease.
