Finland is sending its 35th defense materiel package to Ukraine following an urgent request for support. The package contains materiel from the armed forces’ stocks, but the details are being kept secret for security reasons.
“We have received an urgent request for support from Ukraine, which we are responding to through this expedited, targeted measure. Finland is not turning a blind eye to the Ukrainians’ plight; we are there for them and will continue to provide defense materiel assistance,” says Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen.
A larger aid package is also being prepared. Finland has so far delivered defense materiel to Ukraine worth a total of EUR 3.6 billion.
