European satellite operator Eutelsat rose 13.1 percent on Wednesday after Ukraine said that Spacex had imposed restrictions on Starlink’s military services. Reuters reports.
Rival SES rose 3.9 percent. Investors expect increased demand for European alternatives to US satellite services as a result of tensions between the US and Ukraine.
Analysts warn, however, that Eutelsat’s OneWeb cannot easily replace Starlink, as this requires new terminals and infrastructure.
