Failure to approve the Rosebank or Jackdaw oil projects in the North Sea would be a major setback for Equinor and Shell’s joint venture Adura. Equinor CEO Anders Opedal said this during an energy forum, Reuters reports.
Opedal believes that rejecting Rosebank would run counter to the United Kingdom’s goals of energy security and job creation. At the same time, he warns that Equinor and other companies could begin questioning the United Kingdom’s attractiveness as an investment market if the project is not approved.
