Diesel prices in the UK at record level – RAC

UK diesel prices have risen to a record high of 199.18 pence per litre, according to industry organisation RAC. The Guardian reports. This means that a previous record from when Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine has been surpassed.

Filling up an average family car now costs almost 110 pounds, around 31 pounds more than at the start of the conflict between the US and Iran.

Petrol prices have meanwhile risen to 174.13 pence per litre.

RAC warns that the higher diesel costs could also feed through into prices for goods and services.
