Denmark plans to send conscripts to NATO’s mission in Latvia from next year, where they will serve alongside professional soldiers.
Participation is initially voluntary but may become mandatory if the threat situation deteriorates.
At the same time, the Danish soldiers’ deployment period will be extended from four to six months.
