Danske Bank notes that Swedish core inflation came in slightly higher than in the flash estimate, at 0.54 percent year-over-year versus the preliminary 0.53 percent. CPIF came in at 1.48 percent.
The unexpectedly low inflation was mainly driven by falling prices for car rentals and insurance.
At the same time, goods prices rose more than usual in September. Prices for durable consumer goods increased by 1.1 percent during the month.
Danske Bank sees this as a possible first sign that higher global price pressures are reaching consumers. Core inflation may therefore be less dovish than it initially appears.
