Chinese light attack aircraft and military vehicles have arrived at the new joint Chinese-Laotian training facility in Ban Keun outside Vientiane, according to satellite imagery reviewed by Reuters.
The images show what analysts assess to be eight K-8 aircraft and more than 24 support vehicles. The facility, which is still being expanded, could develop into China’s first full-scale military base in Southeast Asia, according to security experts.
