Stockholm Stock Exchange fell in a broad decline on Thursday. The trend was in line with that on the leading European stock exchanges. Rising oil prices helped weigh on the stock markets. Oil prices rose following reports that Chinese refineries had halted fuel exports in October to secure domestic supply.
At the close, the OMXS30 index was down 1.30 percent at 3,226.59. Shares worth approximately SEK 24.1 billion changed hands on Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Among the exchange’s larger industrial sectors, technology performed best, rising 0.9 percent. At the other end of the scale, basic materials was at the bottom, down 2.1 percent.
Among the leading shares included in the OMXS30 index, Evolution rose 1.3 percent while Saab B was up 0.9 percent. Sandvik performed worst, down 4.6 percent, while Nordea was down 3.0 percent.
The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority lowered major bank SEB’s specific capital requirement, P2R, to 2.0 percent from 2.1 percent. At least 1.4 percent must consist of Common Equity Tier 1 capital. SEB shares fell 1.6 percent.
Construction company Skanska received an order worth SEK 1.5 billion from a university in the US. The shares fell 1.0 percent.
iGaming company Gentoo Media lowered its full-year 2026 forecast following a regulatory change in Brazil and weaker-than-expected revenue development in the third quarter. The company now expects revenue of EUR 92 million, compared with the previous forecast of EUR 97-100 million. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to amount to EUR 40 million, compared with the previous forecast of EUR 55-47 million. The company has also completed a EUR 100 million refinancing. Investors focused on the positive aspect of the refinancing, and the shares climbed more than 20 percent.
Electrical installation company Garo is discontinuing the Garo Entity product family following a strategic review of E-mobility and is instead increasing its focus on Electrification. The discontinuation entails an impairment need of SEK 150 million. The shares rose 7.5 percent.
Real estate company Catena is acquiring a portfolio of logistics properties from Urban Partners at a property value of SEK 2.15 billion. The properties are fully let. The shares fell 0.5 percent.
Defence technology company W5 Solutions carried out a directed share issue of SEK 165 million. The subscription price was SEK 24 per share, a 14.6 percent discount to the previous day’s closing price. The shares fell 13.2 percent.
Among today’s analyst recommendations, Saab received support from Bank of America, which raised its recommendation to buy from neutral.
Tele2 was weighed down 2.7 percent by Berenberg lowering its recommendation to sell from hold.
SEB dropped its buy recommendation for Trelleborg and lowered its recommendation to hold. The shares fell 2.0 percent.
SEB raised its recommendation for real estate companies Sagax and NP to buy from hold. Both Sagax and NP rose 0.2 percent.
DNB Carnegie dropped its sell recommendation for Asker and raised it to hold. The shares nevertheless fell 2.9 percent.
