Better Collective lowers forecast after betting ban in Brazil

Betting and affiliate company Better Collective lowers its forecast for 2026 and pauses its forecasts for 2027–2028 after Brazil banned betting and online gambling. The company is also halting share buybacks, according to a press release.

The new forecast for 2026 is organic revenue growth of 3–8 percent, down from 7–12 percent previously, while growth in EBITDA before special items is lowered to -7 to +3 percent from 8–18 percent. The net debt target of below 3 times EBITDA remains unchanged.

Brazil was previously expected to contribute approximately 45 million euros in revenue in 2026, corresponding to around 12 percent of analyst consensus for the group. Of this amount, approximately 15 million euros was expected to be generated during the remainder of the year.

The ban in Brazil effectively takes effect on 6 October, when the betting sites are to be closed. The measure is being implemented ahead of the presidential election on 4 October and must be considered by Congress to become permanent.

Better Collective will hold a Q&A call on Monday at 08.00.
