Atlantic Petroleum has, through an affiliated company being formed, submitted an application for an exploration and production licence in the Faroe Islands. This is stated in a press release.
The application has been submitted to Jarðfeingi under the Faroe Islands’ Open Door Licensing Regime. Atlantic Petroleum is to hold a 40 percent carried equity interest in the company applying for the licence.
After the application has been made public, other interested parties may apply for the same area or parts of it. The application period is to be at least 90 days from publication.
