Dairy producer Arla is raising the advance price for both conventional and organic milk by 22.1 öre per kilo in October. The price will thereby be 508.8 öre per kilo for conventional milk and 667.1 öre for organic milk, according to a press release.
The quarterly currency adjustment is simultaneously having a negative impact on the Swedish milk price of 1.8 öre per kilo.
According to Arla, global milk volumes are stabilizing at a high level, while industrial prices are more balanced. Strong demand for protein has contributed to higher prices for, among other things, skimmed milk powder, while butter prices remain lower.
