E-commerce giant Amazon’s streaming service Prime Video will become the exclusive global home of the Emmys for six years from 2027.
The ceremony will be broadcast live for free, without a subscription, in more than 240 countries and territories.
The agreement replaces the previous rotation between ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC. No financial details were provided in the press release. The Emmys have been broadcast since 1949.
