US insurance giant AIG has appointed Turab Hussain as executive vice president and chief risk officer, effective October 12. He succeeds Christopher Schaper, who plans to retire at the turn of the year.
Hussain has been AIG’s global chief actuary since 2023 and joined the company in 2021 as chief risk officer for General Insurance. He will report to CEO Eric Andersen and join the executive leadership team.
