Trading company Glencore has met the main requirements for admission to trading on the Australian Securities Exchange, ASX. The first trading day is expected to be 14 October, according to a press release.
The company will trade through so-called CHESS Depositary Interests, with each instrument corresponding to an economic interest in one ordinary Glencore share.
Shareholders in the United Kingdom and South Africa can now request to convert their ordinary shares into the Australian instruments.
