The US government is to halt subsidy payments for 760,000 accounts under the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare, which the administration says are ineligible or fraudulent. The measure is estimated to save 2.2 billion dollars in public funds. The Wall Street Journal reports, citing government officials
At the same time, the healthcare agency CMS is to suspend a further 469 insurance brokers after having already suspended 66. According to the administration, 40 brokers were behind 50,000 fraudulent enrollments that cost the state 45 million dollars.
