Germany’s leading economic institutes are raising their forecasts for the country’s economic growth this year and next year, sources tell Reuters.
GDP is expected to grow by 1.3 percent in 2026, compared with a previous forecast of 0.6 percent.
For 2027, the institutes expect growth of 1.1 percent, up from a previous estimate of 0.9 percent.
The forecasts are prepared jointly by five German economic institutes, including Ifo, IfW and DIW.
