Construction company Skanska has signed an agreement with an existing customer to begin construction of a data center in the state of Georgia, USA. The contract is worth USD 84 million, corresponding to SEK 840 million, which will be included in order bookings for the third quarter, according to a press release.
The project comprises the construction of a 22,700-square-meter data center with five colocation data halls and administrative facilities, designed for a capacity of 48 megawatts. Construction is scheduled to start in November 2026, and the project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2028.
