Sources: General Mills considering selling Häagen-Dazs outside North America – WSJ

The US food producer General Mills is considering divesting its Häagen-Dazs ice cream business outside North America. The Wall Street Journal reports this, citing sources.

The plans are at an early stage and the company may choose to retain the business. One possible buyer is Froneri, which already operates Häagen-Dazs in the US and is owned by, among others, Nestle and private equity firm PAI Partners.

General Mills generated revenue of approximately 18.4 billion dollars during fiscal year 2026, a decrease of 5 percent. Sales in the super-premium ice cream segment amounted to approximately 783 million dollars.

No possible purchase price has emerged.
