Arion Bank moves ahead with sale of Blikastaðaland

Icelandic Arion Bank has decided to enter into exclusive negotiations with Íslensk verðbréf on the sale of its entire holding in Blikastaðaland, which owns and develops the Blikastaðaland area in Mosfellsbær. This is stated in a press release.

The purchase price under discussion is ISK 14-16 billion. Íslensk verðbréf is working together with property developer Klasi, which is intended to become both the project developer and the main investor in the fund that will carry out the purchase.

The parties hope to sign an agreement before the end of the year, while the transaction is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2027. Blikastaðaland is carried at approximately ISK 7.6 billion in Arion Bank’s nine-month report.
