US defense company Lockheed Martin has completed the acquisition of Ultra Maritime, which specializes in undersea warfare and anti-submarine warfare. This is stated in a press release.
Ultra Maritime develops, among other things, sonars, sonobuoys, torpedo defense systems, radar, electronic warfare and autonomous marine sensor systems.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Lockheed Martin’s offering in anti-submarine warfare and other marine systems, including through Ultra Maritime’s towed and hull-mounted sonars. The business will be placed within Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems business area.
