28,000 Danish websites still lack security updates

Around 28,000 Danish websites remain vulnerable following the discovery of two security flaws in the PHP programming language. Ritzau reports this.

Of these, around 8,000 websites can be updated but have not yet been remediated.

Another 19,000–20,000 use versions of PHP so old that the security update does not work.

The security flaws, which were discovered with the help of AI, have also led to government websites in several European countries being temporarily shut down.
