EFN sees continued buying opportunity in Kinnevik after disappointing report

Investment company Kinnevik’s share price is falling on Thursday after the interim report for the third quarter received a sour reception. It was also Helena Saxon’s first report as CEO.

“Kinnevik’s net asset value is treading water, the bold deals are conspicuous by their absence and the new strategy is being reiterated. We see the sharp fall in the share price following a largely unsurprising report more as a buying opportunity than a selling opportunity,” EFN’s analysts write in a comment on Thursday.

Kinnevik has a strong cash position of SEK 7.4 billion, of which around SEK 5 billion is available for new investments.

“In short, not much has changed as a result of this report, and if, like us, you thought it was interesting to bet on the change in Kinnevik’s share price continuing to bear fruit for shareholders, we see no reason to change our view now,” the analyst writes in the conclusion.
