US President Donald Trump writes on Truth Social that extensive exploration for oil, gas and minerals will soon begin in Greenland.
According to Trump, experts believe that the island has larger easily accessible oil reserves than almost anywhere else in the world. He also highlights Greenland’s strategic importance to the defence of the US and Europe and claims that the island offers unique opportunities to detect and stop future attacks with drones and missiles.
