Sweden is carrying out a stock drawdown equivalent to approximately two million barrels of diesel and gasoline as part of the International Energy Agency IEA’s coordinated effort to stabilize the fuel market.
The measure comes against the backdrop of the uncertain situation in the Middle East and means that requirements for emergency stockpiles are temporarily lowered.
According to the authorities, there is no fuel shortage in Sweden, where the supply situation is stable. The country has significant domestic production and is a net exporter of diesel and gasoline.
