US defense company Raytheon, part of RTX, has been awarded contracts worth a total of $729 million to supply components of the LIDS counter-drone system to the US Army, Qatar and Jordan.
The system includes the KuRFS radar sensor and the Coyote system, which are used to detect and counter both individual drones and drone swarms. The order covers both fixed and mobile installations.
The deal marks the first international sales of KuRFS and Coyote. RTX further states in the press release that production is being scaled up to meet increased global demand.
