Nordisk Games coordinates Avalanche and Supermassive under new agreement

Nordisk Games has entered into an agreement between its subsidiaries Avalanche Studios Group and Supermassive Games, under which Avalanche will be responsible for the global publishing, marketing and distribution of Supermassive’s games. Gamesindustry.biz reports.

The collaboration begins with the game Directive 8020 and also includes shared resources in finance, human resources and IT. At the same time, the studios will retain their creative independence.

The agreement comes after several rounds of cuts at both companies. Supermassive recently announced plans to lay off up to 75 employees, while Avalanche closed its studio in Liverpool in November 2025, resulting in 31 job losses.

No financial details were disclosed. Nordisk Film is part of the Egmont Group.
