Transocean secures order value of USD 1.1 billion

Oilfield services company Transocean has secured contracts worth approximately USD 1.1 billion.

A new agreement with Norske Shell covers two wells in Norway and is expected to generate USD 62 million over approximately 120 days, with an option for an additional well.

At the same time, Equinor has given final approval to a previously announced agreement for three drilling rigs in Norway, meaning that the contract value of approximately USD 1 billion is now included in Transocean’s firm backlog.
